Big Bass

Big Bass is the kind of game you open expecting to kill five minutes and then look up half an hour later. You cast with a flick, wait for the line to twitch, and tap to hook. The fish fight back with little tugs you counter by holding and releasing, and getting the rhythm right feels genuinely satisfying once it clicks.

The controls stay simple the whole way through, which is the point. Each lake unlocks new water with different fish behavior, so the shallow starter pond plays nothing like the deep spots where the big catches lurk. Sessions are short by design and it never nags you to keep playing, which I appreciated more than I expected.

Visually it's clean and bright, with just enough animation on the water and the splash to sell the catch. Nothing about it is deep, but as a pick-up-and-play arcade toy it does exactly what it sets out to do.
